Dr. Eduardo “Eddie” Rivero serves as the GUF Provincial Bishop for the Spanish language Caribbean. He is the President of the Global Network of Churches and Ministries, an international network of churches, ministers, and chaplains based in the USA.
He is an Assemblies of God ordained minister since 1993. He recently retired from the Miami-Dade Police Department after 20 years of service (2001-2021) as a Law Enforcement Chaplain. He continues actively in chaplaincy ministry by providing chaplaincy training and establishing chaplaincy programs in government and ecclesiastical organizations.
In 2018, Dr. Rivero was appointed in Banes, Cuba as a bishop in the Lord’s church in the Santa Iglesia Monte Sinai (Mount Sinai Holy Church of Cuba). The Santa Iglesia Monte Sinai church in Cuba has historical ties with the Mount Sinai Holy Church of America which is a historic African-American Pentecostal holiness church established in 1929 by Bishop Ada Robinson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Presently the Santa Iglesia Monte Sinai has 17 churches and several missions throughout the island of Cuba. Bishop Rivero is actively involved in church planter training, church revitalization, leadership development, evangelism & discipleship training, and short-term mission trips.
Bishop Rivero holds a bachelor’s degree in theology, a Master of Arts in Ministerial Leadership, and a doctorate in Religious Education. In 2023 he was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree for his work in international missions by St. Timothy Christian University.
